EASTSIDE UpLIFT
A community initiative on the eastside of Baltimore where community leaders give back through events that empower inner city residents, families, and youth. Panel discussions, resource fairs, convenings, productions, and entertainment are organized to shine a light on the good that is happening in East Baltimore.

The Problem
"Not enough is said about the good in Baltimore. We want to be the catalyst that bring not only resources but wholehearted entertainment to our city that can empower people to achieve their dreams. Growing up, I wanted to break the cycle of failure and it was a faith walk because daily I was faced with the trauma of crime and gun violence in my neighborhood. Today, I am a living product that dreams do come true and I along with many other amazing leaders want to bring this hope home to East Baltimore through Eastside Uplift"

By The Numbers
According to the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance–Jacob France Institute (BNIA-JFI, 2024) Fifth on the list of issues in the city of Baltimore is the lack of connectedness resulting lack of community growth. Eastside Uplift seeks to increase community connections to other residents, resources, and entertainment that shapes the growth of East Baltimore.
